BRIAN GIBNEY is a local pro who has appeared in many noteworthy local bands.
Currently, he is with the popular HAIR OF THE DOG band, which does Celtic music, and plays from Saratoga…all the way to Ireland! Brian is very popular with his students, and enjoys teaching most styles, including good old rock and roll.

RICK WERBLOW, a graduate of Syracuse University, and a veteran of 13 years of continuous road performance, teaches guitar, all styles, through advanced, piano through intermediate, as well as banjo, harmonica, and bass.
He has taught over 20,000 private lessons, and we think he’s getting the hang of it! He’s also the owner of Burnt Hills Music.

TOM LANIEWSKI, a local music teacher and performer, has taught in places like Shenendehowa, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, and Schenectady High and Elementary Schools, as well play in various local bands like The Refrigerators, and the TL Quartet.
He teaches woodwinds like Saxophones, flutes and clarinets through advanced levels, and brasswinds like trumpet and trombone through intermediate levels. So if you are a student looking for help on your NYSSMA recital, or preparation for college, or an elementary student that need some extra help, or even (we love it!) an adult that wants to jam out, call us. Tom, our “gentle giant”, is your man!

DAN FOSTER is really a musicians’ musician. Playing Hendrix on the guitar note-for-note at 15, he walked into a Troy church and heard the organ. That was it. After persistent badgering, he got the organist to teach him. Graduating from Westminster Choir College,
Dan is the best vocal teacher and piano teacher in the area, especially for classical. He’s performed at CARNEGIE HALL many many times, and is the guy you’ll see sight-reading through level 6 material during NYSSMA auditions!

Rob is our popular drum instructor. He went to Schenectady Community College as well as Bennington College for percussion, and can teach ALL styles of drumming. He has performed regularly with the Empire Orchestra, The Joey Thomas Big Band, Capitol Rep, The Cohoes Music Hall, as well as way too many venues to list here. Rob can definitely help you get where you want to go! |

Sara Graville teaches violin, viola, and cello lessons right here at Burnt Hills Music. She is a graduate of the CRANE SCHOOL OF MUSIC, where she acquired a Bachelors’ degree in Music Education. She has taught in the Niskayuna and S. Colonie school districts, and is a favorite here among both children, and adult students. We really like her, too!

Konstantin Tsykun has been a popular teacher here at Burnt Hills Music for many years. He has been a positive influence on hundreds of music lives in this community. A graduate of KIROVOGRAD STATE PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE, in the former USSR (now Russia), he got his Bachelors’ degree with honors in Performance, and his Masters’ Degree, with Honors, in Teaching. He teaches all levels and all styles of Piano, Guitar, and Bass. He is particularly adept at jazz, but still loves the Beatles! From playing Beethoven to Metallica, Konstantin can help you get where you want to go!

Jim Corrigan has been a Capitol District performer, composer, and teacher for many years. He is our Saturday teacher, and can teach guitar, all levels and styles, from beginner through advanced, as well as beginner piano lessons. He remains very popular amongst his students!
